Sound Solution Question

I like the way the default present for SS1.1 sounds. I just want to add "THUMP".
I want the drums to snap...without sacrificing all of the other attributes the DEFAULT preset has to offer.

Am I a glutton for aggressive audio or are there other people that actually like the default preset? If not, why?
