Sounds like a new format coming to 97.7

On the KLTO issue, they never went back to their main tower did they? Can't hear them anymore.

I thought that KBBT initial plan was to put Reggeaton on HD-2 since they went Digital. I guess here comes Que Buena to San Antonio?

They turned on the tower a day or so ago, I'm not sure how this will effect my KBXX reception yet, havnt been down yet.
 
Why is KBBT's signal so weak? I'm having trouble DX'n them much less the HD signal.

Dunno about Que Buena. I could be wrong but isn't Que Buena Regional Mexican which Univision already has on 92.9? My guess is the return of Amor..... :-\
 
It won't matter, Que Buena and Estero Latino are different Regional Mexican formats

They have this same thing going on in Dallas and they had it in Houston until a couple of days ago.

I also forgot to mention, don't be surprised if we see Amor resurface.
 
They could keep the format on KLTO 97.7 and just simalcast it on KBBT HD-2 like they do with Country ledgends in Houston and 93Q HD-3 simalcasting Country Ledgends.
 
True, very true, it could be a 97.7 and 98.5 HD-2 Simulcast.

But, going through their Myspace page and webpage, I see a heading that only says La Kalle 98.5 HD-2. Who knows, I'll try to listen tommorrow at noon that is if I wake up early (yeah yeah, I know, but I'm a college student, give me a brake).
 
too bad. i remember romeo saying how awesome the format was and how it was going to be awesome again in san antonio. he must be thinking about leaving just like the rest of the beat staff since the station did nothing again.

sad, just so very sad my friend. does making fun of people in your industry make you somehow feel better about yourself? leave romeo alone. he is a good guy and a great jock. i dont know who that other person is who you were talking about but i am sure she isnt a bad person either. there is a popular saying in radio. dont burn bridges. the same people you see going up the ladder of success will be the same people you see on your way back down.

you should respect the people who do what we do. you never know if you might work with them one day.
 
thats where you are wrong. romeo is an average jock on a good station. if you believe otherwise show me one thing hes done that is really great while hes been on the beat. its "that was (insert artist) here is (artist) on the beat" and some canned stuff from prep services. if you take that as offensive get thicker skin.

as far as the format goes i wasnt making fun or poking at anybody. those were romeos words about how great the format was.
 
Romeo was right, it was a great format, BUT on a very limited signal. Very hard to see any station get stellar numbers with that station. You bashing him because the station did not do good is just plain asinine.

Personally, I think Romeo is also a great Jock.
 
According to Yes.com, KBBT-HD2 is running the same music as KFZO in Dallas (Dallas' La Kalle). Can anyone check this out and confirm it.
 
if romeo is a great jock name one thing that he has done that has been great since hes been on the beat that is original. trying to come up with something will take you the better part of the rest of the year and you will still come up empty handed.
