Sounds like Kathy Romano got caught up in the Beasley cuts

I always thought the show was structured where there was a contract with P&S and they employed the rest of their staff. Apparently not the case?

Her Instagram says her time with WMMR and Preston and Steve "has come to an end." She says not her choice, not Preston and Steve's choice.

I also was under that impression. Sounds like she may have employed (at least partially) by Beasley (traffic and public affairs) and partially by Preston and Steve.

I always thought Nick or Marisa would be the first to go.

Wonder if Kathy's cuts was done last week prior to her exit.

I'm not surprised because it's Beasley, but I AM surprised because like everyone else, I thought the Preston and Steve show contract had them all together as one team, so a layoff from the show would have to be negotiated. Either way, seeing a cut from this high profile of a show means Beasley is really hurting bad.

With Kathy's Sunday morning public affairs show and her mentioning this morning how she got her start in TV, I wonder if she'll be a part of the new lifestyle show Nexstar is launching on PHL17. Wouldn't be bad for them to launch with a name that has 20 years of brand recognition in the market

Well it looks like Kathy will be moving over to TV on a short-term basis- this Philly Mag article says Romano will be a part of Good Day Philadelphia over the coming week
