Sounds like the Bert Show is on CD...

Bert Show skipping this morning as if it is prerecorded on CD... This doesn't make sense to me. Aren't they live? Or are at least prerecorded digitally?

I didn't hear what makes you think the show has a CD "skip" and I don't know the specific setup of Q100 but if they have a digital STL that can give the CD skip effect if the receive bit rate is too low. This can be caused by microwave RF issues, phone company issues if using T1, or high internet traffic affecting the tunneling protocol. Also yesterday 98.9 TOC which IIRC is fed by Q100's HD2 was having some low bit rate "tin" sounds so this could be a HD issue. I always thought the analog part of a FM would not be affected by the HD but to err is human it requires a computer to really foul things up.
