Sounds to me like a 98.9 CLONE!

I've listened a bit on my way thru Orlando and unless there are times when the format is significantly different, 105.9 sounds to me like nothing more than a clone or copy of 98.9. Friday night, dead air for at least 15 minutes around 9:30 P. M.

Quite frankly, I was not impressed. But then again, maybe some of you heard things I didn't.

WMMO plays all those yodeling folky sensitive females I can't stand like Sara McLaughlin and Jewel. At least Sunny won't have them.

7 spins of "Rock Around The Clock" in the last week on WOCL. I'm guessing NONE on WMMO.

Same with "My Girl," "Twist And Shout," "I Can't Help Myself," and the list goes on.

Not to mention the abundance of the Fray, John Mayer, and Daughtry on WOCL now (cough).

1st if your listening there is plenty of differences starting with the urban classics. Have never heard anything urban on MMO - Prince, Kool and the Gang etc.
2nd They just lanched this station a week ago. They will work out some of the kinks. You may not be impressed but they launched a new format with DJ's, which they should be commended for...There is going to be a few snafu's.
3rd Listened to the 70's show on Saturday nothing but hit's, listened to about 10 songs and sang along with all of them. As far as radio goes if you can accomplish that u are doing something right...ultimately it is going to come down to ratings and sell, sell, sell.

You can't go by the playlist on record for the last week. When the history of rock n roll was airing, songs like Rock Around The Clock were logged. The new Sunny is not playing songs like that and at the very least not it hot rotation. As far as it sounding like WMMO I think you're crazy. WMMO is boring. Sunny has a much more uptempo presentation.

I disagree...WMMO is MUCH BETTER!
