Source Connect - Anybody used it?

A friend of mine has been raving about something called "Source"Connect." http://www.sourceelements.com/products/

He's a professional voice guy and has been using it for sessions over the internet, basically the same as with ISDN, but just over the internet...and for free. according to reviews, and my friend backs this up, you can record remotely at 24/96.

Of course the program isn't free, but after the initial cost there is no more high ISDN charges.

I've scoured the internet and most of the stuff I read just talks about pro-tools. From my understanding, this was originally released as a TDM plugin, but is now available as a VST. The official website mentions Adobe Audition compatibility, but I can't find any reviews of people actually using this with Audition.

Have you guys heard of this or maybe even tried it? It seems pretty neat.

Randy.

It is pretty neat. Pretty spendy, too.

There's other products that do what this does for a lot less money. Search for "AudioTX" on this board and you'll find a discussion of these cheaper products.

The whole issue is what the "other end" is using. If your clients are still married to ISDN then you need to maintain your ISDN connections - and from what I know many operations are moving very slowly on dumping their ISDN setups.
