Source for Amp connectors for R-60 console?

These are the reddish-orange cube shaped shells for the audio in's and outs for the Audioarts R-60 console. They hold 12 crimp pins that are inserted into holes in the shell.

Similar ones also used in the Auditronics 2500 series consoles, except those are for 15 pins.

They were made by Amp, now a Tyco company. None of the shells I've seen on the Tyco or Digikey pages seem to match these shells, which have "wings" that lock onto the circuit board mounted mating connector. These shells are also keyed at one end.

Only need a few to complete a re-install...if you have some in your junk box I would be interested. It's easy to push the pins out and re-use the shell for new wiring.

Here are the part numbers for the male and female contacts, an "in-line" version of the motherboard connector, in case you wanted to make some kind of extension cable sometime, and the plug that plugs into the motherboard connector. I just verified that all the part numbers are currently in stock at Mouser and Digi-Key. The connectors are in the "MR", Miniature Rectangular series.

You need the "PLUG" and the female contacts, but please convince yourself of this and don't just take my word for it.

CONNECTOR PIN (MALE) MR CONSOLE CONNECTORS
Digikey A14199-ND
Mouser 571-6405451

SOCKET CONTACT (FEMALE) MR CONSOLE CONNECTORS
Digikey A14197-ND
Mouser 571-6413001

CAP:
Digikey A14105-ND
Mouser 571-16405120

PLUG:
Digikey A14115-ND
Mouser 571-16405220

Hope this helps.

Thank You Thank You!

I have a bunch of the pins, have two Auditronics 2500 series consoles that use the 15 pin version of the same connector--Indeed, remember ordering a bunch of extra pins (plus some male pins) and the "caps" a couple of years ago when I installed a used console & moved the power supply onto a rack panel.

I got both the pins and the cap from Mouser last time, but for some reason this time I couldn't get to the right page using their search system. Tyco sells a number of connectors using the same pins, but I had no luck finding the plug in either the Mouser listing, or at Digikey.

Having the parts numbers took me right to the listing.

Part numbers now written down in the console manual.

Now if I can just get the computer to recognize the Digigram 442 card.....
