source for SSM 2013 IC for Aaaarg-GAAAAAK-is console ?

:)Wait.. what series arrakis do you have? I just gutted the modules from some retired 12000 series.Iz that them? I can't remember..Let me know, and maybe I could get you a couple, if that's whats in the 12000'sdf

;DGood news! I looked at a couple of my modules, and sho-nuff, the ssm2013's are in there.Email me privatly with your mailing address, and I'll send you 4 of them. [email protected]ou'll owe me a cheesburger and a beer someday....  ;Ddave

I believe that by "REV C" they had changed to the even more fragile SSM2018. They die due to heat, static, and just because they can.

yes, and when the 2018 fails it generally pegs the meter on the failed channelthe 2013 just causes the channel to go dead when it goes belly-upBTDT with both

My 1200 series console use the 2018 and I order a sleeve of 25 every half year just so I have extras. I got this board used and within a year I had to replace all of them on the input boards but since then I haven't had any problems. I would bet if I had no spares these things would pop like fuses!FWIW: I had an older 2100 console as well as another 1200 console that had the 2013's and you bet I domped those babies fast!

The morning show on one of our stations got in the habit of unplugging the guest mic when not in use. They got burned once by a full-on open mic. No indication it was on untill they turned up the air monitor resulting in feedback. Couple listeners called in too. Last March put a in a new console and they still unplugged the mic.

Just because it was handy (and I didn't have to use my credit card) I was getting them through Broadacst Supply WW. Arrakis would drop ship them. Now have a stash from a "decommisioned" 12000 that hopefully will last until the remaining 12000 is retired.
