From allaccess.com

BILL GAMBLE has been hired to consult SCHURZ COMMUNICATION's WSBT RADIO GROUP/SOUTH BEND (WNSN, WSBT, WZOC, WHFB-A/FM). GAMBLE will act as the Operations Dir. of the SOUTH BEND properties.
"I’m looking forward to working with SALLY BROWN, VP/RADIO-INDIANA, and her talented team," GAMBLE said. "The SCHURZ stations have been the market leaders for years and I hope to help continue that trend."
"BILL and I have worked together before, so I know firsthand what a talented programmer he is. I’m thrilled to welcome him to SCHURZ COMMUNICATIONS and WSBT," BROWN said.
GAMBLE most recently served as PD for CBS RADIO/CHICAGO Country WUSN and AC WCFS and was recently named as a consultant for ACCURADIO.COM’s Country music channels.

The Schurz South Bend radio group properties all have issues and that is reflected most recently in the ratings. A couple of the stations that have been "ratings leaders" in years past have been so by default - no competition in their respective format (WNSN; WSBT). WSBT was thrown for a loop in May with the launch of an FM News/Talk and the acquiring of several key network shows (Beck, Rush, Hannity) by said FM. Ouch.

I won't even touch on the problems with "Sunny".

Schurz knows they're in trouble.

It will be interesting to see what Gamble's game plan will be.
