I am a market outsider that has been reading a little about South Central over the past few weeks, but I haven't been able to find any candid information from there employees perhaps because they are such a small company and I don't even "know anyone who knows anyone" that works there. Where I come from everybody talks about how great it would be to work for a family owned company again...no corporate BS, reports, living quarter to quarter, etc. So I am asking those who work there or have worked there is it as good as those of us in the corporate rat race might imagine? Is it a good place to be right now (relative to other radio groups). Any input would be appreciated.

It had to be better before they got rid of the air staff on 96.3 and went Jack. At WJXA they run syndicated shows from 7pm to morning drive. The on air side of South Central Nashville has very few people on staff. Not long a go there were at least 10 full time, now about 4.

SC is a great company to work for. The team is top notch...all the way around.I've had no complaints about this company in the year I've been on staff.e

I'm glad to hear things have improved in the years since I worked there. My experience at Clear Channel was far better than my time at South Central.

Re: South Central's BS has been on the air 25 years (that'll peak your interest)

Hey, on the subject of SCC,,,,congrats to Bryan for a mere 25 years of radio in Nashville! No human has playedAir Supply or Rupert Holmes more on the planet (and lived to tell about it.) Sarge --- you're the big time. Way togo and always a professional and a good guy who would never make an issue about being on the air longer thanradio has even existed. I meant to post this yesterday (when it was actually 25 years to the day) but couldn'tremember the password on this exciting new ride.... From Kicks to LAC, you've been through it all here. Here's to another 25-54 --- years. You're a VIP, sir. JUST please give Lionel Richie a break!!! Job well done. -----------------------------------------HAPPY 25 YEARS ---------------------------------------------------

It really does say much about a broadcaster that can maintain a strong presence in a market for a quarter century.Kudos to you Sarge!:)
