SOUTH FLORIDA DANCE MUSIC COALITION

It is now officially launched (on Facebook).

The South Florida Dance Music Coalition (SFLDMC) is about helping to expand dance music further into the region which includes getting a dance station back on the standard FM dial. Even though Party 93.1 DOES exist on HD Radio, we think they should come back over to the standard FM side (even if on a different frequency). Since HD radio never really took off and with Radio Shack getting out of selling HD radios, it's high time a station like this (or anything new) gets back on the FM standard dial....where ALL cars can tune in.

We've just started today. We also have a corresponding Twitter page for clubbing events there as well (which will also include Orlando):

Doesn't Laura play a lot of this stuff on 'VUM?
Her show seems to get repeated a lot.
They either have or are about to quadruple their signal.

What about 939 MIA? I wish they'd drop the slow stuff and go back to the dance format...i still love that station

With Erick Velez (former Party 93.1 guy) now the new MD at Power I feel you will be hearing a LOT more dance music on that station....pop and dance music has become one and the same. Party 93.1 was about 10 years to early...if it happened today it would be an entirely new story (as long as upper mgmt at COX HQ didn't **** it up) Although I doubt they would ever abandon Hip Hop/R&B, you can already hear them playing a lot more of the dance music hits.

This is the time for dance music more than ever before.....loving it!
