South Jersey Needs a GOOD Top 40 Station!

Atlantic / Cape May County Needs a Top 40 Station! 99.3 Kiss FM (plays all rap music now), and 95.1 WAYV (edits all their songs). This is very annoying because they take out huge parts of songs. Why can't we just have a Station that plays TOP 40 and different music like 30h!3, September, and The Ting Ting's.

95.1 WAYV - used to be a great Top 40 station in 2001. Then they switched to a lighter format which sucks.
99.3 KISS Fm - was dance, than rap, Then Top 40 Last Summer, Which was awesome, Now their Rap again but still say south jerseys #1 hit music station but only play rap.
106.7 Q107 - Went off the air, had very bad signal was static in Rio Grande sometimes which was 10 min from station

So i think we need a Top 40 Station in Cape May / Atlantic Counties.

Any Thoughts

Be thankful you even have Top 40 stations. I live in Ocean County and would love to have an intelligent adult rock station or alternative rocker, and we don't even have one. Half the stations we receive here are Top 40, so that leaves us with scant few other choices. We receive 94.3 The Point, 95.1 WAYV, Wired 96.5, 99.3 Kiss-FM, Q102, SoJo 104.9, and Hit 106 loud and clear ... and if that wasn't enough, other segments of the market also get 92.3 Now, 94.5 WPST, Z-100, and 103.5 WKTU. I'm sure your options aren't just limited to 'AYV and Kiss - just take a look around, you're bound to hit something else. I personally have given up on terrestrial radio and it will stay that way as long as our options remain extremely bland.

With as much of a selection you have, you're complaining? AYV, SoJo, Hit, KissFM, and they are not good enough? Just be glad you have your format on the dial and don't have to struggle to listen to a low coverage station like Pulse 87.

I agree with you but, none of you must actually live in Cape May. Ive lived there all my life. I know what comes in better then people that live in North Jersey. NONE of those stations exist down there. No Q102, Z100, Hit 106, SoJo, 95.1 or 99.3 are Atlantic City. If were lucky we get 105.5 (which is usually static) and 102.3 (which is off the air a lot).

Best bet is internet radio or satellite. If I had the power to get rid of a few CHR stations around Monmouth County, then I'd be happy to put it in Cape May.

I hope you don't mind me tooting my horn, but we offer a wide mix of Top 40 songs. We were playing the song, CRY FOR YOU by September, about a year ago and still have it on medium rotation. We play great Top 40 music: The Fray, Kris Allen, Switchfoot, Mandisa, Landon Pigg, Michael Buble, Plain Wihte Tees, Sixpence and more.

Listen to us Monday - Saturdays, all day.. At night we do offer some brokered programming.

We're 97.9 Fm out of Rio Grande or http://www.liftfm.com
