South Park Censored by Comedy Central

It is sometimes hard to tell when they are being serious and when they aren't. I didn't think the episode warranted the two-parter status it got and they muddied the message.

BTW, the religious right has gone bonkers about the episode, which also shows al-Qaeda retaliating against the Family Guy episode with clip art cutouts of Jesus, George Bush, and others defecating on each other.

That brought out the usual crowd on the right wing MSNBC news shows trying to help manufacture the story "has South Park gone too far?" No. "The footage is so shocking, we cannot show it on MSNBC." That's okay, because nobody is watching you not show it anyway.

One of the so-called "pro-family" groups appeared saying the show needs to be removed from the airwaves because, during a week with 100,000,000 American Christians celebrating Easter, this attack on Jesus and our "popular president" is an outrage. I didn't hear all the rest because I was laughing too hard.

Talk about missing the point of the episode. I'm sure that if this becomes a major issue among the conservative groups, we'll have an episode with Pat Robertson and Dobson in a few weeks anyway. Both are rich for parody anyway.

The only thing I have to say to that is: "Popular president"???

*dies from laughing to hard*

I saw the part that was cut. Family Guy answers the door. Muhammad South Park style walks in saying "oh jihad jihad" (sounds like the voice clip was taken from 509) and Muhammad hands Family Guy a helmit with a fish on it and walks out.
______________

Seems silly, since South Park already showed an image of Muhammad in the Super Best Friends episode (aired 7/4/01). If you want to see how SP showed Muhammad then... click here

Uh oh....Comedy Central (and others in syndication) have already shown it. I guess a jihad on all of them! We're already screwed.

Same exact Muhammad that walked up to Family Guy's door and handed him a helmet in the scene that got cut.

Comedy Central apparently hopes to show it uncut in the future once this whole thing settles down.
______________
