I'm in Myrtle Beach for the past week and the last several days have brought a big tropo opening.
Aside from getting a decent signal on every frequency (mainly stations from Wilmington, Raleigh, and Charleston), my Insignia NS-HD01 portable HD radio received an HD signal of WLNK 107.9 from Charlotte over a VERY strong local Gator 107.9.
The best part is that it decoded just like a local station (5 seconds) and it stayed consistent with its HD2 channel as well (News/Talk WBT). It worked for about the whole morning from 7 to 10, and faded away. I have pictures on these links: http://www.mediafire.com/view/?8r9e1f98d0rf09l

This morning I am getting even more stations (something well on every frequency).
Notably, I got an HD signal of 89.3 WTEB in New Bern over a mix of WTEB and WSCI in Charleston.
Also, the major Charleston FM’s (WSSX, WIWF, WAVF, WXLY) came in like locals, and WXLY’s HD and sub channels decoded within seconds. It has been great receiving stations from 100 or so miles the past few days (Raleigh, Charlotte, etc).
Does anyone else have a situation similar to this? If so, feel free to comment!
