Interesting how the Abingdon system cherry-picked one station each from five different remote markets (Bluefield, Roanoke, Knoxville, Asheville, Winston-Salem). Presumably this was due to space limitations (2-13) and trying to get at least something from each of these markets.

Grundy was also heavy with West Virginia offerings, the full complement of at least commercial stations from both Charleston-Huntington and Beckley-Bluefield-Oak Hill.

And the Saltville system must have found the mother of all "sweet spots", to be able to get stations from both Huntington WV and Charlotte, possibly along the top of Little Mountain. That would be someplace to take your antenna for a DX expedition, if it could be found.
