Sox on PRO

I've noticed recently that during Red Sox games, WPRO has starting using the delay to block out all mention of WEEI. So when Joe and Jerry give the network ID "You are listening to the WEEI Red Sox Radio Network" they obliterate most of it. Aren't they violating their agreement to carry Sox games? (which I am sure requires them to carry the game as broadcast)

If WPRO is in violation, you can trust that someone will tell WEEI. As a matter of fact..... someone here just tape the violation. Then send the tape off to WEEI. WPRO will get it's act together awfully quick when WEEI keeps getting tapes of this possible violation.

I may be wrong, but I feel this is a long-standing policy @PRO. It is probably more important to them now that EEI-FM is in the market and will be airing the Bosox in '06.

Wish that block could be used with 99% of WPRO programming.....dead silence is better than conservative clap trap any day of the week....just my opinion....

WPRO used to do this several years ago, but I thought it was a violation. Possibly watching out for cross promotion of 103.7 WEEI-FM.
