Sox Radio Network only 'RKO or 'EEI for Series

http://www.bostonradiowatch.com reminds us that during the World Series, Red Sox Radio Network
will be only WEEI (Games 1 and 6) and WRKO (rest). No "network" stations will be able to pick up
Joe C. and Geff, etc. It will be available however on ESPN stations (Miller & Morgan)

890 (Dedham), 1400 (Lowell), 1410 (Hartford), 1050 NYC (poss. 1560 if a conflict with hockey? etc

by the way, TV-wise, next year's ALCS (should it involve the Sox) will be CABLE ONLY. TBS and Fox
are alternating so Fox gets the NLCS next year. You'll need cable or sat TV to catch the Sox should
they make the ALCS again (though most of the time you need cable anyway to catch their games)

No chance TBS would consider syndicating the game locally? Are they still cozy with CBS (WBZ)??

Who knows.
btw I'm not sure if the ESPN feed for 07 WS is being offered to Sox network stations. On the WTIC
site it said when Game 1 will start tomorrow but I didn't see anything about "hear it here" (on the
station not the site of course). If that does happen, it would prob be on both WTIC and on
WPOP (ESPN 1410/Hartford) or...one only...?

I think it would be unlikely for non ESPN stations to have access to the World Series broadcasts, especially in markets where there is all ready an ESPN affiliate.

MLB dictates that only flagship stations carry home team feeds for WS games. That protects their exclusive radio rights to ESPN. It prohibits the flagship from streaming the broadcast as well. Baseball serving the dollar interest over the fan interest.

XM subscribers can get either team’s flagship, should you be interested in taking the plunge.

Will listen to any broadcast to get away from Fox Sports "The Worst Sports Coverage in The World." Fox Sports has the worst announcers and the worst camera angles. Plus WHY do they have to block the pitch count frame on the screen to overlay the speed of the pitch. I want to know the count more than the speed. Who really cares about the speed it is the count that matters. And as I mentioned the camera coverage is always so narrow that most times you cannot see the total action on the field.
So, EEI or RKO will be my choice as I turn down the TV of Fox Sports, "The Worst Coverage in the World." [ with attribution to Keith Olbermann].

Here's another kick in the pants. We don't have a ESPN Radio affiliate, here in Western, MA. It's gets better...I have Sirius Satellite Radio which has ESPN Radio, but the Series won't be carried because XM has the exclusive right to MLB!! So, as far as radio goes i'm **** out of luck!!

Maybe not completely screwed. WVEI 1440 Worcester and WVEI 105.5 FM Springfield.

Well, D&C was promoting tonight's game as able to be heard on WVEI, WVEI-FM, and WEEI-AM & FM. Maybe they get a pass since they are all owned by Entercom.

They're probably just so accustomed to saying that up until this point, that they forgot that they actually won't be broadcating the games. 790/99.7 The Score in Providence has been promoting that they will be airing the games in Rhode Island. I doubt that 103.7 will be able to pick up the ESPN Radio feed since The Score is an ESPN affiliate, and 99.7 transmits from the same tower as 103.7.

For what it's worth, the folks at WEEI-FM and WVEI A&F think they are carrying to game tonight.

it's the game of words which only savewrko.com clowns will appreciate. they're promoting the 'coverage' not the game beginning at 7:20. they can carry all the pre-game and postgame filler but will have to dump out when the game starts at 8pm on espn radio.

The games WILL be on all of the Entercom properties in Providence, Worcester and Springfield just as they have been for all of the playoffs. There will be no dumping out. Bet on it. I believe however, that they will be airing the ESPN broadcast starting at 8P through the post-game. The same feed airs on the ESPN affiliates in the markets.

Sorry Double, don't be corrupted by the saveWRKO propaganda.

you make my point. no joe and glenn on the entercom network while the game's in progress.

I won't believe that the actual game, ESPN or otherwise will be on 103.7 until I actually hear it. They probably will be on 1440 and 105.5 since there is no other ESPN Radio affiliate carrying the game in those cities, but they already have an affiliate running the game in Providence.
