Spanish in Scranton 95.1

Last evening (Friday) I was in my car with the radio on scan hoping to find a good song. My radio stopped at 95.1 at which time I heard a Spanish song. Listing on and off for the past day I have heard a wide variety of music however no people or station ID. I received it loud and clear in South Side, began to pick up ZZO in Moosic and it is Crystal clear in West Scranton. Radio-locator.com does not show anything on that frequency. Any idea if this is some new station or is there a pirate in town?

Arrr, matey, habla usted upside down question mark "pirata" rightside up question mark.

Oh oh. What does this mean to the one and only original and still champion Caliente 1440 and 730? Oh wait. Are they on today?

I was just out in my car about 6pm Saturday and could not hear it in WB/Plains.

First thing I checked today. 730 was playing different music.

Sunday Morning 7AM ... Still Coming In Loud And Clear And In Stereo Here In Old Forge

On My Home Tuner ... CRIPES!

This is such a shame. A sign that the spanish pirates appearing in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. Nothing good can come of it. Gotta be interfering with a WGMF translator on 95.3

Definitely a pirate....likely based in the southside of Scranton. Probably causing some interference to W237BI...in close proximity likely causing interference to WBHD and WLNP (within a block or two). A "high tech" operation; a stereo generator....processing, liners and automation system. Quite a bit of power likely 5 to 10 watts at least. Wow....sounds better than some commercial stations in the northern tier of PA!! I'll pull out a directional antenna and receiver and take a power cruise and let you know his location when I get a chance. I wonder if this guy knows how much trouble he can get in from the FCC??

Bring a pair of dykes with you. "Oh, sorry; was that your transmission line??"

Ahhh, the buccaneer has moved......he's now at 97.5. I don't think this frequency is interfering with anyone now. They have a morning show with DJ's, etc. (in Spanish of course).....maybe a sat. feed. Anybody good with Spanish. Curious to now what morning show they're running.

if its not causing interference, the less likely the FCC is to do something about it.

Indeed.....I would say that now it is not causing interference. How about some reception reports?

Still strong in West and South Scranton. Not as strong near viewmont mall as it was on 95.1. Once you get past Lake Scranton the signal is all but gone. The same was true for 95.1
