I was in Schamburg a few days ago and was scanning through the dial on my Sony Walkman. I landed on 100.3FM and they were playing some type of Spanish music. Any idea where this could have came from?

Where exactly was it and for how far in what direction did it last?

I heard it from the Medieval Times all the way to the NexTel building on 355. It had good audio, and it sounded like stereo.

I'm surprised that 100.3 LOVE-FM was heard in spanish in Shaumburg.
According to the predicted coverage pattern by Radio-locator. That
station should be heard clearly past Elgin. Is there a spanish station
that has a frequency close to the 100.3 dial?

But still, 100.3 Love FM should be able to come into Schamburg with a clear
signal without any problems.

The FM skip season is well in bloom and you were probably listening to a distant signal. During skip season distant FM signals can even overpower more local signals due to atmospheric conditions. Wouldn't be surprised if you were listening to a signal from south of the border.

So 100.3 finally found a format someone will listen to. ;)
