WNDZ is daytime only. RCR - Radio Caracas Radio with 100kW seems more likely than KAMA. They are Noticias y Deportes.

Venezuela? Awesome, that would be my first solid log from that country. It certainly is a political show, with Venezuela and Chávez being mentioned. I knew it couldn't be Cuba, but I never thought of looking south of there, thinking that it could be a syndicated 'time block' show being broadcast on WNDZ. It continues to come in quite steady and at times is over WSB. I'll listen in for RCR or Radio Caracas Radio being mentioned.

Thanks for the tip!

I believe it was RCR. They have a LOT of power and are very widely heard. I even heard them here in Ottawa once, inside an office building downtown at 7 pm while waiting for my fiancee to finish work. It was a very strong signal and they were carrying a baseball show.

RCR it is. ;D I know that there's some 100k power-houses in Venezuela & Columbia, but I was surprised to get RCR so well, from my location, as I thought that getting it would be more of a winter thing. The Cubans were really strong, too...Radio Enciclopedia was booting 530 CIAO right off the dial, even though CIOA is just a couple hundred miles down the 401 from my location.

Which leads me a technical question...would the fact that we had a cold air mass over us last night, improve MW DX conditions?

Yep, and I heard RCR under WSB quite often when I lived in PA too. Some nights, the propagation patterns in the upper atmosphere favor north-south reception; other nights favor east-west. I can't explain why that is (perhaps someone else here can) but I do know that it's the case.

If they're talking about Chavez and Venezuela in Spanish on 750, it's undoubtedly RCR. Interesting thing: when I was staying in Maracay, Venezuela last year (about 80 miles from Caracas), RCR 750 didn't come in all that well at night. Lots of fading. My guess is a combination of mountains and poor ground conductivity and the phasing of skywave and groundwave.
