Spare mounting clips for Electrovoice RE-20/RE-27...?

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can get (4) of the standard clips for the Electrovoice RE-20/RE-27 microphones?

It's the clip in this picture: http://www.electrovoice.com/images/product_images/RE20_stand_wclip_large.jpg

They come in the black plastic EV box with the mic, but rarely get used. It seems most people install a 309A rubber-band shock-mount cage, and the plain clips go to the land of lost ballpoint pens. I have a special application where I would like to try going from the cage back to the clip. I thought someone with a big studio might have a box of them lying around, and might be willing to part with a few for a buck or a barter.

Thanks.

Have you tried Contacting EV? I don't know about these days, but back in the day they used to be pretty good about that stuff. If it's anything like the olden days, they'll probably send you one or two free of charge...

What - you mean Tom McGinley couldn't help you? ;D

The EV part number for the clip is 320. Any broadcast supply company can get them for you.

just bought a bunch from BSW I think they are about $25.00 each

Yea, EV wanted $35/ea. As always, parts for anything broadcast-related are astronomically inflated. By comparison, a clip for an SM-58 is about $1 on Ebay, or 10-for-$9 if you buy in bulk.

The last cluster I worked at had about (60) RE-27 microphones between the 28 studios, all in 309A shock cages, so the plastic clips were always knocking around and falling out of dusty boxes on your boots when you were looking for something else. =-)
