I'm surprised nobody caught this yesterday. The RMT WBAP sent out (monthly EAS test - that all stations have to relay once received) included 12 or so seconds of a satellite dish commercial before the EOM. Consequently, so did all the rest of the stations who relayed the test.

bluescreen, what were you saying about finding ways to sneak ads into more of the programming?

I can hear it now:

"This EAS test brought to you by Texan Ford... had this been a real emergency, Texan Ford would have gotten this free - because they wouldn't of had any listeners - you'd all be dead by now!"

I worked at a station that sold the adjacentcy to the then EBS test. It was to an insurance agency. The copy began with..."if this had been an actual emergency, would you have been protected...." I have to admit that was an excellent place to put a commercial.
