Speaking of disappearing AM's...

I've noticed that three Birmingham AM stations were off at the same time during the weekend; two of them remain off, WAYE and WENN. WYDE was on the air Friday afternoon, but disappeared for a couple of days this weekend and came back on sometime last night or this morning. WENN was also on the air Friday, but disappered on Saturday and is still off the air; WENN is still streaming, and I imagine their translator "WENN-FM" at 101.9 is still up, too. The AM being off the air might be weather-related with those thunderstorms that came through Saturday afternoon, as that's when I first noticed the station missing from the dial. WAYE has been off the air since at least Friday...could be longer, as that's the first time I noticed them gone from the air; I haven't traversed the AM band in a wk or two's time (until this past Fri). Lke WENN, WAYE is still streaming online.

Just guessing, I bet AYE's bill payment got "lost in the mail".

WAYE's stream is still up as of today, but now there's no audio. Hmmmmm...
