Speaking of Staff Cuts

Cuts coming at Entercom in the Northeast? We've already seen a few in Rochester when they took over WCMF. What about the Buffalo properties?

This from Jerry Del Colliano’s blog on Friday…

“Entercom fired three part-time talk show hosts at KIRO, Seattle for budgetary reasons. That won't be all. There are whispers that the northeast stations could be among those affected”.

Here’s the where you’ll find Jerry's whole opinion piece. Makes for an interesting read.

As posted on another thread - Entercom DOES NOT own those Seattle stations. They were swapped to Bonneville almost a year ago. So there goes the wind from DelColliano's rumor mill.

Didn't Entercom/Buffalo already make a bunch of cuts this past November?

And geez, Jerry really nailed it int hat column.

Larry,

Excellent point! "Cuts coming at Entercom in the Northeast?"

How can they avoid it? It seems that the bubble is about to burst on the giant mega-corporate media companies. They all seem to be 'leaking' all over the place! Perhaps it's 'Economies of scale—in reverse'?

And Steven... yes, Entercom did the annual 'cuts' in Buffalo in November, but again... they are an annual event, like the 'holiday party' in April! LOL
