Speaking of the Blaze

A few weeks back in the middle of everyone fighting over how great the Blaze is...or isn't, a comment was made by someone (who obviously works at the Blaze) that no matter how successful they had been, they never let it go their heads, and never bragged about it. in fact here is that part of the post..

"about having an ego or being "full" of ourselves or whatever...Just know that everyone at The Blaze is very humble and they don't take the #'s or audience for granted...hell, if they were cocky...they would constantly be running "Arbitron rated #1" sweepers like Mix is with Kid Kraddick and how KOOI does ALL the time! You haven't heard that from The Blaze...EVER! They just go about their business and win!"

I pointed out that I HAVE heard them run promo's promoting that they are rated #1...and now I see their banner at the Tyler fair that says in big bold letters...RATED #1 IN EAST TEXAS. Things that make you go hummmm......

Radio stations everywhere do it, sad to say. To those who go to such great lengths and effort making the claims, there's the temptation to tell them, "Stop telling us how great the baby is and bring it out of the back room."

That is a good point. Do you think that there is a proper was to crow about your ratings? Certainly there is a difference between the banner at the fair and running endless "Arbitron Rated number one" sweepers. What do you think would be a good middle ground?
