Speculation on 96.7 The Coast Morning Show

OK, here's one for you. Now that the book is over when do you think Chris Kellogg is going to start doing mornings at the Coast? He was heard doing a remote on Saturday.

Also, I heard (or read somewhere here?) that Chris Kellogg is really former DRC-FM talent Scott Michaels - is that true?

Bill

I think it is Scott Michaels, unless I'm having a huge brain fart. I think they're from the same area and have worked in the same markets........

On the 967thecoast.com web site they have their "personalities" link up with "Chris Kellog" as the only personality. I have yet to listen to see if he's on yet.

Listening to the webcast right now. Kellogg is indeed Scott Michaels. In fact, his bio on the web site includes the same "rave review" that the bio for "Michaels" at drcfm.com used to include:

Here's what some are saying about Chris Kellogg...
Rolling Stone says, "Hey, if you hear from Chris, he owes us $29 for his past due subscription."
VH1 exclaims, "Sorry, never heard of him!"

It's hard to tell whether he's really there or not. In nearly half an hour, all I've heard from him are a sweeper between Shania Twain's "From This Moment" and Badfinger's "Day After Day" (the other sweepers are heavily produced, with a female voice) and two commercials. His voice also came in after the legal ID (at 9:45!), blurting "Don't miss the --" before being cut off by another commercial, which was in turn cut off about three words short of its conclusion by a female-voiced sweeper, then into "Livin' La Vida Loca." If he's there, he's having a few production problems today!

I hope it's just bad production and computer mishaps. a Voicetracked morning show would be horrible...
