Spero Dedes To Call Play-By-Play For Knicks On MSG

Spero Dedes has turned down the Lakers TV job (that opened up when Joel Meyers contract was not renewed) and the Fordham grad is returning to New York to call Knicks games for MSG TV, essentially taking the Gus Johnson role of a couple of years ago (Kenny Albert mostly filled that role this past season).

Spero turned down the Laker offer so that he could continue at CBS Sports doing NFL & NCAA games.

Spero was an update anchor on WFAN Sportsradio 66 and a pre- + post-game host on NJ Nets YES telecasts before taking the Laker radio job 6 years ago.
