Spike TV moves TNA IMPACT time slot. (again)

So far it's only the 4/5/10 "LIVE" episode.Spike has scheduled TNA Impact an hour earlier. This goes to show Dixie Carter or Spike Maanagement are'nt impressed with the results of Monday Night wars going in WWE's favor.

I don't don't know of one wrestling fan who thought this was a smart idea to go against WWE.TNA just re-invented itself two months ago and is not ready to go against the 800 pound gorilla.

TNA has a good product right now.Dont screw it up because of Vince McMan and this stupid move to Monday nights.Maybe down the road.Get established first.

Dixie Carter should just stay on Thursday Nights for the time being. No need for the Monday night move it was unnessary.

For the record. I have been watching TNA over WWE on Monday nights.I will be ordering the WWE Wrestlemania this Sunday especially since this will be the last time Shawn Micheals is in a ring.If you follow the gossip web sites it said that Shawn Micheals is not scheduled for any WWE shows after Wrestlemania but The Undertaker is.

...hell, I don't know one ACTUAL wrestling fan who considers the product either WWE or TNA are putting out to be wrestling. For wrestling one has to check out either Ring of Honor on HDNet or CMLL on LATV...

I'm not suprised by this move.

To me it makes a whole lot of sense, and it should've been done right from the start.

To me TNA is making the smart move and it's first real major attack by airing one hour ahead of the competition.

It worked for WCW and it will worked for TNA, enough said :D

You know me, and I consider both "actual" wrestling.

TNA once again had the better matches (and ending) this week, but probably didn't get the ratings because of how loyal people are to "Vincent Kennedy McManon". If WWE die-hards flipped over to Spike (it should be on every basic cable package in the country) to watch TNA for an entire show, they might stop watching Raw altogether. You're gonna see a heck of a lot of title defences on TNA each week than you do on Raw, Tag-team matches are better on TNA because they have "true" tag teams. On Raw, there's just two singles guys that hate each other against one true tag team unless its a championship match, The mid-card and women's division on TNA have better matches and storylines than the high-card vs. near jobber match or two girls slap fighting until a DDT/rollup match on Raw. There's only two things I'll give Raw: hotter women and the Main Event. (for now: TNA should have some good main events after the next PPV)

I may like John Cena and Triple H and a few others, but the TNA roster could hold their own if there was like a WWE vs. TNA in a "Starrcade" type of deal.

It was announced by Dixie Carter herself on her Facebook account that starting with the April 12, 2010 edition of TNA Impact! that it was moving to 8-10 PM on Mondays with an encore presentation Thursdays from 9-11 PM. So far Impact has been handily defeated by WWE Raw by two full ratings points each week.

Hold up... Did I miss something? Is the former actress from "Designing Women" and "Diff'rent Strokes" so hard up that she's now sold herself to the pro wrestling industry?

Not the same person.

Again this is the right move.

WCW benefited from a single hour when they didn't compete with the WWE, and overall I think TNA will do the same in do time.

Also consider that USA is a much stronger cable network right now than Spike I think.

The ratings show week by week with reruns of NCIS, Law & Order SVU, and original programming like Law & Order CI and Psych have kept them on top for years.

Spike does overkill on either CSI or UFC in which neither of them don't really need it.

If Spike can get a decent programming schedule then it, along with TNA, they will become a contender with the likes of USA and ESPN.

What they need to do is get rid of the Thursday repeat. That way the people who watch WWE live and TNA later in the week will have to pick which to watch, instead of allowing themselves to get beaten.

If TNA Impact doubles their audience from its old Thursday slot and puts the small company closer toward operating in the black, I'd bet they could live with being 'defeated' by WWE in the ratings. Beating 'Raw' surely couldn't have been an immediate goal, despite any public boasts by Hulk Hogan.

They won't. Raw can only bill for ad exposure once on USA. Impact can do so twice on Spike. TNA Wrestling doesn't have the programming commitments to fill as WWE, so monetizing Impact as much as possible makes sense.

...for an explanatias to why TNA Impact is not long for this world, just listen to http://whosslammingwho.podomatic.com/enclosure/2010-04-06T12_12_37-07_00.mp3 -- Impact just got the lowest rating in its history, and the newest member of "The Band" is a second-string hack shock jock who got his @$$ handed to him by Awesome Kong for lipping off about the victims of the Haitian earthquake. Plus, their womens championship changing hands in a "Lockbox Showdown" instead of actually in the ring?!!? I'm glad I don't watch that crap...
