I don't know why Spike has to constantly hate on Pat Burrell all the time. Today he said WYSP was giving away "men left on base, in honor of Pat Burrell."
If Spike just talked to his father about Burrell's stats, he would know that this year Burrell hit 33 home runs, drove in 86 runs and had the team's highest (fourth in the NL) slugging percentage, which is probably the best stat to judge a player's value. Not to mention the two clutch home runs Burrell hit to get us to the NLCS.
The Phillies constantly play second fiddle to the precious Eagles, who are currently 2-3 and in last place, while our baseball team has the best shot to break our 25-year drought since Donovan McNabb stared a Super Bowl victory in the face against New England and it made him nauseous and choke, literally and figuratively.
A little respect would be nice, Spike, since you live and work in this town with the rest of us. And if you must criticize, at least get your facts straight.
