Spokane 95.7 FM Flips from Classic Rock to Spanish programming

Christian music seems to be a big deal on the FM band. There are maybe 4-5 such stations in the Seattle area, including the one at 88.1 that has difficulty reaching the entire metro, but it's stayed on the air for over 5 years so far.... I suppose the fact it's decently funded makes all the difference. Shouldn't be all that different in Spokane.

KPND's playlist is very light compared to the other four - I personally don't consider it to be a true rock station but it's definitely alternative. Its HD2 is another story (hard rocker "Rock 103")

KYOZ 1330 + K239CL 95.7 have flipped the switch to Worship 24/7. New format heard this afternoon right outside of Spokane.

Spokane is ripe for another shot at Spanish language radio. Someone like Bustos Media or one of the Tri-Cities Hispanic radio groups could jump in there and make a profit. Metro Spokane, while lagging places like Pasco and Yakima, now sees that demographic/linguistic shift.
