Spook Beckman's Wife Passes

I met Spook Beckman in his last radio gig at WMNI in the mid-80's. The station was doing a toy drive and people could stop by the station with toys. I brought in some toys and the secretary thanked me and said Spook would also like to thank me. She called him and he came out. (I was thrilled, getting to meet the guy I had listened to on WCOL and WMNI too.) He was very nice and apperciative. He offered me a candy cane from the secretary's desk. I told him how great it was to meet a real DJ and he was very modest as we taled for a few minutes about the radio business in general. We shook hands and he thanked me again for bringing some toys in. What a nice man!
