Well, is this just wishful thinking by Ben Maller(since he does, after all work for Fox); or is there any possibility that FSR and SNR could merge or one buy out the other?

ESPNRadio aint going anywhere, folks. Disney could write off the losses on that thing by having chimpanzees on the air and not miss a penny.

Correct me if I'm wrong but

I believe ESPN Radio DOES have chimpanzees on the air.

Radio is a fickled business. If I'm not mistaken, Paul Allen (of Microsoft fame), is the owner of SNR. It may very well be that SNR is getting ready to merge with another company. Even though Wetzel got on my nerves, I really don't like to see anyone lose their job unless their last name is Ashwood and their first name is Andrew. I also noted that Jeff Rickard is gone too. Scott Ballou was on this morning. If SNR was in such financial chaos, why would they have taken on Tony Bruno??? They could have been like FSR and found some obscure person at a cheap price.

SNR Blood Bath reaches 10

I guess the number is now up to ten that have been axed since late last week.
Don't get to hear too much SNR locally here (we get FSR and ESPN), so can't offer a comparison.

Outside of Bruno who the hell is left there??

According to http://www.bostonsportsmedia.com, WWZN 1510 (Boston's Sporting
News affiliate), "may not last the week"--supposedly local shows (Diehards,
Eddie Andleman) are being dropped. Money/ratings problems...the BSM site
says they'll pass along details when they get them.
