Sporting News Radio

Is Sporting News Radio still tied up by the Fan, although they're not airing any of it? SNR will have major changes coming Monday, including a new line-up and long-awaited new imaging.

Jeff Rickard's show moves to 5 - 8 a.m., to be joined by Sporting News Flash anchor Bill Lekas. Tony Bruno returns to network sports radio 8 a.m. to 12 noon, to be joined by Mark Willard. James Brown moves to 12 noon to 2 p.m.

If it really is done better than it has been done in the past, as promised, I think you could imagine where any of our three sports stations could benefit by picking up part of this for a couple of hours here and there. It could prove to be better locally than Fox (not hard) and some ESPN programming.

I always prefered Sporting News Radio programs over both ESPN and Fox Sports Radio. Both 104.5 The Zone and 106.7 The Fan used SNR when they both first came on the air. I don't care for Colin Cowherd and Dan Patrick has spent as much time away from his show lately as people claim that Jim Rome does. I would much rather listen to Jeff Rickard, James Brown, Tim Brando, Tony Bruno, et al, than a majority of the ESPN stuff or anything, even the local shows, on the Zone.
