Sporting News SOLD

If I can only get my Sporting News, in my mailbox on Time ( not 3 or 5 days late ).

Good thing change of ownership. Many articles are poor attempts at humour and others useless like That soap oprea actress writing on Sports. Tricia Garner

Should be interesting to see what changes are made if any.

This magazine is hurting in the circulation area as its frequently given away 1 year FREE!! subscriptions to increase advertising rates. or deeply discounted on ebay for 4$ or less a year ;D

Too much nascar and hockey coverage is non existent.

TSN is a distant 3rd to Sports Illustrated and ESPN in readership.

James Brown was replaced by Dave Smith several months ago on the SNR network....

JB is doing a one hour interview program for SNR which I think really plays to his strength.

Never been a big fan of SNR! Way too much talk about betting on sports rather than sports itself!

Sporting News Radio has been my favorite for some time now.

Just enough insightful interviews, yet minus all the boring ones ESPN Radio programs hour after hour.

Plenty of listener calls, yet minus the mindless "fan" ones heard on Fox Sports Radio.

Plus, it's hard to beat Tony Bruno, Dave Smith, and David Stein.

Now that XM has dropped the raw feed, I'm finding myself listening to the SNR feed on the web. And I'm keeping my fingers crossed for what may or may not lie ahead as the entity is sold.
