As previously announced....oh wait.....nevermind, no it wasn't.....36.3 is now simulcasting (for the moment) the channel no one ever watched, NBC(?) Universal "sports" along with 11.3. The channel is identified as "Sports" but the program guide just says "Sports 24/7"in 2 hour blocks where as 11.3 is identified as "SPORTS" and the guide displays "Sports" in 30 minute increments.
Gee whiz, I sure wish there were some way for these stations to alert the public as to when they'll be going on/off air or changing formats.
Possibly a form of print that could be circulated among or purchased by the public or maybe the ability to periodically inform through a scrolling text message in a nonintrusive manner along the bottom or top of their broadcasts.
Or in a perfect fantasy universe, there would be a system that connects people all over Atlanta with citizens in the rest of the world that could be used to inform and discuss events past, present & future. Sort of like a net that was intorconnected world wide in a web like format.
Oh well, one can only dream of a band so broad.
...and one can hope the advertisers will take their money to someone who understands and appreciates that the reason this medium was first to *inform* those that it reaces
