I heard Mike Adams do a sports flash yesterday afternoon on EEI.. I'd never heard him do it before. It was the worst flash I've every heard, writing & delivery. Is it common for Adams to do the flash, and/or was it just a bad isolated flash for him?

Mikey, is Mikey....often irrevrend (sp?) not gleaming with class, but other than that, he's hysterically funny, he's good radio. He has been doing the flash and fill in host for awhile now on 'EEI, (except for the period he has his own morning show on 1510)
Best flashers are Jon Wallach, Jeff Joyce, Jason Chandler, John McCarthy

Jon Wallach. He is the best, by far.
Adams is a comedy guy...not well suited for news...but whatever. Adams was in this week due to a "gimmick" where Glenn Ordway told Pete Sheppard to take the rest of the day off and give Mike Adams a shot onair (a joke regarding the Red Sox allowing their stars to have days off).
It was likely just a joke to cover Sheppard's vacation time. W/e

I would've liked to hear Adams do a late 60's / early 70's dj thing. He'd have been great back then as one of those classic shouters who didn't need a transmitter to be heard in five states.
