Good points indeed. The idea that only 1 SoFla sports station can survive in the format seems wrong to me. Both should be able to survive, just look at the ratings...they both keep going up as of late. As long as the money keeps pumping in (one way or another) we should have a 2 horse race.DJ Oldschool said:Faraway...good point regarding QAM's "turnaround". As a listener to both stations, it appears to me that QAM has made some solid decisions in the past year or so. Getting Hank out of mornings and back into afternoons was good, as was picking up Joe Rose and the Dolphins. While I think both stations are pretty good, it appears to me that the QAM "arrow" is once again pointing up. BTW...if the Marlins go to WINZ , that means the four professional teams in South Florida would all be on different stations.
The nice thing, if the Fish move to WINZ, is that none of the pro teams would be bumped off the flagships for conflicts. Only the Canes on 560 (likely landing on Power 96) and the Noles on 790 (landing on either 1360 or 1080) would see bumps due to conflicts. That should make it easier for the fans, advertisers, and teams.
