Sports Hub 102.3

sports hub 102.3fm

I heard be a music station eather active rock or adult hits format friday at 7am when the station lauch they already have registered for domain name for max102 but other than i wishe the management of the station nothing but best of luck with new format have feeling sports format kinda fail little with the rating just guessing maybe the reason for the format change

Sports stations don't get good ratings. The reason the sports station failed is that management had no idea how to run a sports station and the amount of sports stations in the market.

As for the new station, they are trying to get The River's audience which they tried before with The Mountain and that failed.

A poster elsewhere pointed out that, translators included, S/WB had ten sports stations on the dial before this 102.3 change. Last time I checked the spayed ratings, none of them were doing well.

I'm also informed that the nearest large 'major' team of import, Penn State, has its games broadcast on WILK -- a non-sports station.

It appears to be a sort of chicken-egg conundrum. Are there low ratings because there are too many slices to the pie, or because there aren't enough sports in the market to galvanize support and make the pie a larger one?

'Active rock or adult hits'.
Not much of a choice there, is it? If you wanna be snide, you might say, 'You're tried the rest ..... so here's another one.'

I amazed The Sports Hub lasted as long as it did. Way too many signals covering Sports. Did they really think the format was going to get any ratings or traction?
