I was in the area Sunday, 10/15, and searched the dial for games.
I'm curious. WAAL carries the Giants. It sounds like they use a phone line connection. Isn't the point of FM to be clear? WBCN in Boston tried the Patriots on FM in 1995, and it sounds great, even now. WAAL missed the boat on this one.
WNBF carries the Bills. The audio quality was very clear—much better than what the Giants had on the Whale.
I've been listening to webcasts of B-Sens game this year. They're awesome.
Backing up a bit to the B-Mets broadcasts. I enjoy them on WNBF and on the webcast. It too sounds like a phone connection, both home and away. Too bad they can't use a marti unit from NYSEG Stadium. B-U basketball sounds great on webcasts and on 1290.
I get to a few games a year in the Binghamton area, and still enjoy following the teams when I can listen. I'm glad they're available.
