Sports on FM

93.3 flipped at 12:01am Monday morning. No announcements or introductions, just an abrupt switch from the Latino Mix feed to TUDN. Still in stereo, but that could change later today.
This morning at 6 am the lady from A GOOD MORNING AMERICA (not the one from TV) said: we welcome our new affiliate from Houston on 93.3 FM. But sounds lots of static compared to yesterday.

I’m sure the Beaumont - Port Arthur area will love this. 😒

There's more money to be made in Houston than there is in Beaumont. No offense to the good people of the golden triangle, but no rimshot operator cares what they think.

This is so true. A terrible Houston station is still way more valuable than a market leader in Beaumont. That is why the latter has been robbed for the rimshots. Same is true for Sherman and Wichita Falls for DFW. Killeen-Temple has lost several to Austin and one day I would be surprised if WACO doesn't "downgrade" into Austin as well. At the end of the day a middling station in market 32 is just a lot more valuable than a market-leading heritage station in market 189 (although in WACO's case it is competitive in Killeen as well).

My point was that this station covers the Triangle better than it does Houston. That’s all.

It’s about the wrong ID.
Speaking of which, NGEN Radio needs to fix its TOHID. They are announcing "KVUJ Bay City, KVUD Lake Jackson, KHVU Houston." However the FCC database (and other sources) has KVUD as the Bay City station, and KVUJ in Lake Jackson. Looks like a continuity/promotions writer got the calls mixed up.

You need to learn to explain yourself a bit better. How/why is it wrong? KQBU and KLAT are covered. KQBU-HD2 doesn't exist (KQBU doesn't seem to be broadcasting in hybrid IBOC).

What exactly is wrong and for what reason? As long as KQBU and KLAT are covered, KQBU-HD2 is just considered jibberish.

Ugh nothing.

then what was your point? BTW, if you meant legal id, you shouldve said that.. not "hows this call sign".

and if that was a legal id, it was incomplete.. but the partial data provided seems ok.
