I think there may be a perception that there is not enough local interest in sports radio in Macon. All the city has in the way of professional sports, that I know of, is a minor-league baseball team, and there are no major college sports teams in the city. High school sports may be popular there, but local radio is not as keen on local kids' sports as it could be these days. A bigger problem is potential advertisers' perception of the interest their potential customers have in sports. If the advertisers can be convinced that an FM sports station will draw a consistently large audience throughout the year - not just during playoff, World Series or Superbowl games - then you will see stations taking a serious look at programming an FM sports station. I hope you get one; if you do, a grass-roots campaign on the part of local sports fans is going to be necessary in order to show that there is a substantial sports radio audience out there just waiting for one station to realize the potential and put sports on an FM station in your city. 2¢.
