Sports radio in Seattle

Interesting thought there Seattle. In the meantime, the Seahawks (same owner of the Blazers) and the Mariners are shoved down our throats on TV and radio like they were local teams. Your attitudes about Portland and it's teams is exactly why I will not support Seattle in any way. Go Niners!!

Would Portland be large enough to support a sports team other then the Trailblazers? I think Seattle could easily handle MLS, NHL, NBA, MLB, AND NFL.

Part of that may be that Portland has never had an NFL or MLB team. I think you should consider what would happen if the Sounders left town. I wouldn't expect anyone to pick up the Timbers right away.

Thankfully, I do not see the Sounders going anywhere anytime soon. As much as I could really care less about the MLS soccer, it's nice to see what the Sounders have done in the community. I just want a hockey team though :D

Not to re-open an old thread, but I think KJR-AM could be saved if they could clinch the broadcast rights to NBA and NHL in Seattle (in due time if we were able to obtain franchises). While KIRO-AM would still be more popular due to Seahawk and Mariner broadcasts, KJR could stay alive.
