Sports report on WTIC AM

I was listening to WTIC AM online a short while ago and heard the sports report at the top of the hour. The newscaster gave the "local" NBA scores and reported the score of tonight's Nets vs. 76ers game, as well as the upcoming Celtics game. I was surprised to hear the Nets score as I never considered the Nets a "local" sports team for CT. I suppose since much of CT gets the YES Network which is the TV home of the Nets that they might be considered local.

If the Yankees can be considered local (and a lot of people consider them to be), then the Nets can be.
