sports show on wilk

i havent heard the sports show with rob neyhard and joe thomas for a couple of weeks... 10a til 12n on saturdays, are they on a holiday vacation, or gone????

Sport Talk Saturday did their last show right before Christmas. Another local show kaput.

Two guys. One already on staff and a part timer, plus a board op-- and WILK can't sell the advertising to cover it? It must be a very sorry operation.

At least the Saturday night oldies show is still going, so you can hear the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald every week.

Another cost-cutting maneuver by the new owners, evidently.

"new owners?" unless I missed something, they are owned by Entercom who hs owned them for quite a while now.

Sad to say it's hard to be in the black with live radio anymore. Cost of talent, sales commissions, electric bill, taxes, etc. Add to that and it's no wonder so many stations are in serious trouble.

it is a shame, because rob and joe are pros, and did a nice job on saturdays, but this is radio today.. wait til a holiday, then get rid of shows, fire your dedicated employees like bosco at wilk and fran at magic 93.
