So I am tuning around the dial this morning and just think this is ridiculous. What other market in America big or small has 4 sports talk stations. Is this the best that owners can come up with? 3 AM's (2 strong-1weak) and 1 FM(Weak). Of course only KILT AM is the better rated out of all of them.

I'm wondering that if you are a sports station then it is an automatic for making money. How many ways can the pie be cut up for an audience that wants sports? Funny thing is that most of the sports talk guys all sound the same no matter what station they are on.

Fresno, California has four on AM. 790 and 1430 are both ESPN radio, but different schedules (some time shifting.) 1340 has Fox Sports Radio. 1550 is Sporting News.

Yes, but in Fresno I believe the same company owns 2 of them(sports stations) and sells them in tandem. Different story in Houston with 4 different owners. KILT-AM is the only one making real money and is also one of the top billing sports stations in America.
