Sports Talk Pseudo Radio

I saw an ad on the back page of the sports section of today's Trib. Apparently they're launching a sports talk radio station, sans radio.

Some of the hosts' names that I recognized included Chris Mack, John Steigerwald, and Ken Laird. (I guess Ken's stint on The Fan was of short duration.)

sheesh.....and they thought the caller volume on The Fan at 2:30 in the morning was a problem...

For awhile the City Paper was streaming Lynn Cullen in a similar manner. Is that still going on?
Any idea how it is working for them?

Of course, Cleveland is the capital of Online Only Sports Talk Radio.

It'll be interesting to see if the Trib can pull this off. Unlike Cleveland.com's DSN, it appears to be a Trib-based venture. And of course, the Trib folks own KQV!

To date the City Paper is still doing the podcast and while I didn't see any advertisers on their site for this particular week, I would assume they are doing okay with it given she has been doing it for about a year and half now.
