Sportscenter changes coming up

http://www.thebiglead.com/index.php...s-cindy-brunson-his-wife-is-leaving-espn-too/
Nobody Job is safe.
The buzz right now is nobody’s anchor seat is safe – be it 9 am (Hannah Storm on the move?), 6 pm or 11 pm – and we’ve gotten word that more than a couple “big” (relatively speaking) names are unhappy with the direction things are headed. A lot of the moves remain fluid and decisions haven’t been finalized, but the one change that appears to be a lock is rising star Lindsay Czarniak (JMU grad!) is headed for the 6 pm Sportscenter full-time, starting sometime in December.

Outside of live sporting events, ESPN has been unwatchable for quite a while.
I welcome any and all takers to topple the glass house of mouse in Bristol.

Without the NHL in play, NBC Sportsnet is as useful as teets on a bull.

Also add a 3rd,4th,5th ESPN Channel to complete with Fox Sports 1 -4 by the end of the year

ESPN is one of those channels where the brand is more important than the hosts. For the most part, same with The Weather Channel. The hosts all know that. The writing is stylized to the channel, not the reader. It's all about the writing and the production. That's why any host with any real personality leaves to do their own show, away from the brand.

Exactly. ESPN got burned with Dan Patrick and Keith Olbermann once, and since then they don't make stars anymore. And if you get some name recognition, they'll work you to death on every single platform they own.

To be fair, Fairchild, Olbermann didn't just burn ESPN, he "napalmed" them. (Just quoting someone.)

That someone might have been Olbermann, in fact. I remember hearing about a conversation somewhere between Olbermann and Kornheiser about who the hardest person to work with at ESPN ever was, and both of them were trying to argue they should have the title.
