CSN Philadelphia is not on DirecTV because Comcast won't let either DirecTV or Dish Network have it, and uses a loophole in the FCC regulations to avoid being compelled to offer it to the DBS providers. Any network that is solely distributed by land-based means (microwave, fiber optics or cable) and that does not use satellite to deliver its signal to its affiliates is not mandated to offer the channel to DBS providers. Comcast, having inherited a landline/microwave delivered sports channel called PRISM back in the late '90s jumped on that loophole in launching CSNP with Comcast-owned teams Phillies, 76ers and Flyers. So it's not that DirecTV doesn't want CSNP, it's that Comcrap, seeing a way to get an edge over its competitors in the Philly market, refuses to "play nice".<P ID="signature">______________
