Sportsradio 610

I've been in Houston this week, and noticed what I would call a high pitched whine on 610AM yesterday afternoon. I'm over in the Beltway 8 / Westheimer area, and this noise persisted for the time I was in my car - no other AM stations had this problem. Would the AM signal be weaker in this geographic area, or were they having equipment problems? It was just plain unlistenable.

When driving underneath certain power lines while listening to 610, I've often heard a kind of whine or squeal, so I've wondered if CenterPoint has some sort of RF on/near that frequency on the grid. Don't hear anything in the house, however, and not any issue away from power lines.

Radios in Houston with poor IF rejection might have issues with a -910 kHz image from KYND interfering with 610.

Cable // High speed internet lines also make that noise, I even notice it on FM on dead air noise.
