Holy moley! I live in Seattle but grew up in the Phoenix DMA. A local car dealer whose name I forget has exactly the same shtick at the end of his ad. When did Courtesy start doing Yippie-yi-yo-ky-yay?

That guy (whoever he is) does pretty much the same type of ad for many car dealers in the west. I've heard him do Bay Area car commercials on KNBR as well.

At least 10 years ago.

You know there's something nasty about a charity taking a used mattress from a Sleep America customer. Sorry Debbie Gaby, no matter how you sugar coat it in your syurpy Texas drawl, the best place for a used mattress is in a landfill!

You are absolutely correct in that I do remember them. And when it comes time to buy that advertised product I go elsewhere.

Nobody, absolutely NOBODY that advertises in a loud obnoxious manner will get my business.

Yeah, he syndicates the spots and they are on the air in Las Vegas.

This guy has long hair, wears lots of turquiose and gold and knows how to sell. His name is Ken Dabrow. His deal with the dealers is unique...and guaranteed. He doesn't get paid unless he sells a car. Notice how all of his ads showcase a particular model?

Queen Creek are ya listenin? Peoria...can YOU hear me? Cobalts are 199 a month...Come on down and see at the big [enter the first letter dealership here]....

I've heard the same guy doing ads for a car dealer on the radio in DENVER too.

Mr Shane has since been "immortalized" in an episode of South Park (apparently there are Shane stores in Denver)

Heard him again today. I can confirm the Seattle dealership he VOs for is a Chevy dealership.

Long ago I got over the shock that Cal Worthington and his dog Spot weren't Arizona-born and bred. Now I have this knowledge dropped into my lap. Thanks for the replies, NKC and KeithE4!

Worst ever, about 15 years ago the Polyglycoat commercials with some 9 year old girl singing.

Polyglycoat Your the one for me!

Or the World Auto Sales with some freakish SciFi kind of singing.

Now, the worst commercial is "Beach Bum" Ty Coughlin and his wonderful pyramid scam (oh wait, its not a pyramid, its a "Reverse Funnel", which just looks like a pyramid), and his annoying laugh and promises to make you wealthy! Of course, you have to pay him for the right to find out that you need to pester people into joining a timeshare MLM and you have to keep the money running up the pyramid (er..reverse funnel). The commercials are so bad, now he is on, pretending to be someone who uses the system and is making tons of dough.

There's a psa where a little girl tells her mother "I don't feel good" and the mother says "You've got a fever, let's get you to sleep", and she starts singing "lullabye and goodnight", then the conversation repeats three or so more times and the voiceover says "look for a pattern, it could be blah blah blah". Very annoying.
